Seed of Abraham Messianic Congregation

Rebroadcast of an earlier sermon from October 20, 2018 but has not been on our podcast for awhile. *Turn the sound up on this!* In the first century, followers of Yeshua were frequently persecuted, even killed for their faith. In many parts of the world persecution and martyrdom persist on a continual basis. Why is this still happening? In this message we discuss first of all what society was like in the Roman Empire and why disciples of Yeshua were hated, persecuted or killed. In a world that pressures Yeshua's disciples to conform, the reasons are revealing. This message was given by Allan Nemer during our Shabbat Service.

Using the Book of Judges chapters 1 and 2 as a launching pad, we need to ask ourselves if as followers of Yeshua we have made compromises and accommodations. Have we become too much like the evil world around us? Rather than being obedient to the Lord, are we actually backsliding? Short Torah Reading: Part of Parashah Shoftim (Judges). Allan Nemer reads from 18: 9-22. A blunt warning from the Lord to the Nation of Israel - Don't learn from the pagan nations around you.
