Caleb is one of the minor persons in the Scriptures. What can we learn from him? Actually, more than you think. Particularly in these end times. We ask the question: Will you be like Caleb, God's Servant? This sermon was given by Elder Allan Nemer during our Saturday Shabbat Service on September 23, 2023.

We are seeing, in some ministries, an abundance of false prophecies as well as unbiblical manifestations based on new age and demonic practices. The list could go on and on. The speaker asks why is this happening? While he does not answer the question definitively, he believes one of the reasons is a lack of the Fear of God. He gives scriptures (the main topic of this sermon) about what the Bible says about the Fear of God. This sermon was given during our Saturday Shabbat service on July 8, 2023 by elder Allan L Nemer.

A quick study of the Book of Amos. In this message we examine what the phrase, famine of hearing the words of the Lord, in Amos 8:11 means, who Amos was, what led to this situation and the consequences of it. You will see that this easily can fit into our current situation. This sermon was given by Allan Nemer during our Saturday Shabbat Service on February 11, 2023.

What is it like when God brings judgment on a nation? It's like Romans 1:16-32. God gives us over to our sins. What does that mean? If you are wondering why we are seeing an explosion of crazy and insane decisions, let alone more suffering this is a good sermon to listen to. This short sermon gives a synopsis of what occurs. This sermon was given by Elder Allan L Nemer during our Saturday Shabbat Service on November 19, 2022

Short reading and commentary from sections of Numbers 11. The nation of Israel and the mixed multitude in their midst, started to grumble and complain about their situation. Resulting in the Lord's anger and His discipline. Do we do the same in the midst of all of the situations that are going on in this world at the moment? This reading and commentary was given by Allan Nemer during our Saturday Shabbat Service on June 18, 2022.

The Torah Reading (Sh'mot) is from Exodus 1:1 to 6:1. We are introduced to Moses (Moshe), his birth, his life and forced departure from Egypt, his new life in Midian and his calling to go back to Egypt. A person might think that Moses eagerly embraced his calling. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. When Moses was confronted by a Holy God, unlike his past in Egypt, now he is unsure of himself and recognizes his sinful life. Even asking God to choose someone else. When you examine ALL of scripture you will see that is a common occurrence. Note: early on a reference is made, recommending people to view a teaching series by R.C. Sproul. The teaching is on the Holiness of God, (highly recommended). Link: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL30acyfm60fVpGc7Eo--3S6w1kdhXY9Cb

In the Book of the prophet Malachi (1:6 to 2:9) we read where the Lord tells the priests of the temple and the people of Israel in general that their sacrifices were unacceptable and disrespectful. Think what a shock that must have been to them. They thought that what they were doing was acceptable to the Lord. Yet the Lord told them their offerings were inferior and showed a lack of respect for Him.
That brings up an important question for our days. Do we think our offerings (worship) are acceptable to God yet in God's eyes are in fact not acceptable at all? Thank the Lord for His mercy and grace, yet we still need to realize that He and His Word (Bible) is the only standard to judge on this subject. Something to think about.
This HafTorah reading and commentary was given by Elder Allan Nemer during our Saturday Shabbat Service on November 6, 2021.

Numbers 20: In one year (most likely) Moses went through a lot. His sister and brother died, the children of Israel started complaining again as well as through Moses disobedience he was told by the Lord that he would not enter the promised land and on and on it went. All within one year probably. In this time of high stress we need to be very careful that we don't find ourselves complaining and reap the same results, discipline and judgement. This Torah reading and commentary was given by Elder Allan Nemer during our Saturday Shabbat Service on June 19, 2022.

Torah Reading (Parashah - portion) for this weekend is Sh'mini. This reading today deals with the strange and profane offerings of Nadab and Abihu (Leviticus 10:1-11). We also talk about the death of Uzzah as David and Israel tried to bring back the ark of the covenant to Jerusalem (2 Samuel 6:1-11). We finish off with a reading from 2 Corinthians 6:14-18. This reading deals with the constant tendency of mankind (individuals and congregations alike) to combine Biblical and Pagan (demonic) practices and call it good. Just as bad is the tendency to relax standards and think it is OK with God. Yet, in fact, it is actually profane and strange in the eyes of the Lord. An abomination. This Torah reading and commentary was done by Elder Allan Nemer during our Saturday Shabbat Service on April 10, 2021.

Moses and Joshua warned the children of Israel about not imitating the countries they were about to conquer. Instead they were supposed to obey God's Word as well as reject the paganism and false unbiblical religions and beliefs that those countries were steeped in. Likewise, the Body Of Messiah is called by the Lord and His word to be in the world but not of it. With the world rapidly deteriorating into paganism, now more than ever we need to remember Joshua's call: "Choose This Day Whom You Will Serve". Please note the choices referred to is the choice of (with the Lord's help) following the Bible so we can make the correct moral decisions in our everyday lives that honor the Lord. This sermon was given by Elder Allan L Nemer during our Saturday Shabbat Service on December 14, 2019. Another Elder, Tim Hieb makes some closing comments after the sermon.

Short Torah Commentary from Genesis 29:11. Jacob meets Rachel for the first time, he raises his voice and wept aloud. WHY? The possible answer is based on Jacob's personality. Also how can we draw a parallel to our life? The answer is important. The children of Israel were exiled to Babylon for their sins but there was the promise of coming home in the future. Like them, we as disciples of Yeshua (Jesus) are exiles in this world but have the promise of coming home. This very short message was given by a member of our congregation, John Anderson, who is currently an online seminary student in Messianic Jewish Studies. It was given during our Saturday Shabbat Service on August 31, 2019
