Speaker: Anthony Hulsebus of Dominion Ministries International (http://dominionministries.net/) - speaks on the subject of how to share your faith during the upcoming holiday season (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah). Though most in the Messianic Movement may not celebrate some of the holidays, they have friends and/or family who do celebrate them. Therefore, let us use this season (or any family get together) as the perfect time to share your faith with your family. Anthony gives ideas on how to do this properly. They were mentored by the modern day prophet Art Katz and have been leaders in Jewish evangelism and congregational ministry since the mid-70’s. As a young man, Walid Shoebat became a member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, and participated in acts of terror and violence against Israel, and was later imprisoned in the Russian Compound, Jerusalem’s central prison for incitement and violence against Israel. After his release, he continued his life of violence and rioting in Bethlehem and the Temple Mount. After entering the U.S, he worked as a counselor for the Arab Student Organization at Loop College in Chicago and continued his anti-Israel activities. In 1993, Walid studied the Tanach (Jewish Bible) in a challenge to convert his wife to Islam. Six months later, after intense study, Walid realized that everything he had been taught about Jews was a lie. Convinced he was on the side of evil, he became an advocate for his former enemy. Bishop Francis Macharia oversees 100’s of congregations in West Africa. He also runs orphanages that have saved 100’s of children from the ravages of War and AIDS. Bishop Macharia, a new friend of our congregation, talks about his life in the past year, in particular about his life in Kenya during the civil war. From there he weaves a lot of scripture and scripture stories together to help us during times of trial.
